Help a friend! Vote a cat.

A friend at work has a cat competing in Chicago's cutest cat competition. If you're so inclined and have a moment or two, check out this link and vote for Gracie in the Gracie vs. Kodi competition.

(If only Matt and I had known about this competition, Prop Joe and Dr. T totally would have been in there too.)

Hangin' loose

Things have been going well lately. This weekend, Matt is off in Vegas on a pseudo-bachelor party and I am in Chicago, entertaining Justin and Michelle (in from Ann Arbor, taking a break from school) and Jill (in from Iowa for residency interviews). Matt and I have been keeping busy since Christmas -- my dad and stepmom came in for New Year's, and we had all sorts of fun going out to a fantastic dinner at Alinea and going to the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio in the 'burbs. Matt, Meg and I had a fun day wandering around the city, checking out dim sum in Chinatown and going to the Chicago History Museum

On the work front, I got staffed on my first deal, and have been putting in some on long hours lately. Matt is still job hunting and is getting restless, but he's doing great stuff around the house: in particular, painting our bathroom a lovely camel-color.

Fake or real?

Matt and I made pancakes and bacon this morning, and got into a brief debate that I agreed to post here. Which do you prefer: real or fake pancake syrup? The two of us have differing opinions on this topic, and at least one of us thinks the other is crazy. I offfered to post the debate here to see which one outsiders prefer.
