Fake or real?

Matt and I made pancakes and bacon this morning, and got into a brief debate that I agreed to post here. Which do you prefer: real or fake pancake syrup? The two of us have differing opinions on this topic, and at least one of us thinks the other is crazy. I offfered to post the debate here to see which one outsiders prefer.

Hmmm...apples or oranges?
If you are used to store-bought-from-concentrate orange juice, real orange juice tastes weak or thin. Same is true with syrup. Grow up on Aunet Jemima? Then real maple is not as thick and not as sugary sweet (heavily fortified). Better? Maybe...maybe not! Different? Yes! and Vive La Difference...

I like them both. For real. Actually, since my family constantly vacations in new hampshire, and is from the northeast, my parents devised this system where they would mix the two together. That way, we'd have a hybrid of the two syrups, and I always thought that was the best.

I guess I prefer fake over real...though I'm not very particlar. Mario thinks he likes real better, though the last real maple syrup we got was not good at all.

I'm a fake syrup gal myself. Matt loves the real, and seriously cannot comprehend how I can prefer the fake. I think d is right... I grew up on the fake stuff!
